It was the typical "sell the current rig to fund the next rig" scenario. They are lots of fun and sound good and if I could have kept them I would have. I don't want this to sound like a bad review however, I like the JMP- combo (or 9100). The power amp section of the models is based on a typical Marshall. The Brit Pre stayed on, because it is used by several prominent A-list artists. Cliff re-worked the JMP-1 modeling, resulting in the JMPre-1 models. Fractal Audio’s first model of the JMP-1 was the Brit Pre. The 9200 was difficult to justify too, as it alone weighs as much as two heads probably. Once I sold it all and bought a head again, the first time I played it I was like "oh yeah, there it is". Platinum Mod 1315.00 International Customers Midi Dump 50. I had to use an overdrive pedal to get it where I wanted it.ī) Although I did get a lot of good sounds out of it, it just didn't have that Marshall "magic" that I had remembered heads/cabinets having. It did have pretty good gain, but just ever-so-slightly not enough for me. I had originally purchased it because I figured it would have crazy-hot gain and wouldn't require any additional pedals to get it there. An sich ein geiles Teil, aber gerade für fette Rhythm - Sound für meinen Geschmack ein klein wenig zu dünn.
